On November 13, 2019, Brynn McFall and Ashyln Holmes went to one of the newest bar and grills, FiVe, to see what foods and drinks are being made there in Manhattan.
At FiVe, which is located at 405 Poyntz Ave, Manhattan, KS, there is a variety of selections ranging all the way from pasta to soup to meat. And let’s not forget their many different refreshment options, including margaritas and cocktails. FiVe is also staffed with attentive workers who are ready to help whenever their services are needed.
Once McFall and Holmes entered the restaurant, they were able to see all the beautiful decorations and paintings on the wall. Inside the FiVe, there are many dim lights hanging from the ceiling and many additional decor lining the walls, creating a relaxing and unique environment to enjoy your food.
McFall tried the macaroni and cheese with pepper seasoned on top. This choice was delicious and had a good balance between the noodles and the creaminess of the cheese. The pepper on top created a nice flavor, and McFall thought that the amount of macaroni she was served was a good size and was filling. McFall enjoyed the macaroni, but was a little unhappy about the very expensive price of $15 for just a medium sized bowl of macaroni and cheese. She would rate the macaroni an eight out of ten because of the tasty, creamy consistency.
Holmes tried the caesar salad with grilled chicken. The salad had cherry tomatoes and onions to add color and flavor. The caesar salad had a vinaigrette dressing to go on top. The chicken was very flavorful and tender. The salad was also a decent size. It costs $13 which is very overpriced for a salad. She would rate this salad a seven out of ten.
Overall, McFall and Holmes would rate FiVe a two out of five stars, due to how expensive everything was.
