Stab, stab, stab. You think you know what show I am talking about? Yes, I am talking about “Game of Thrones,” the most critically acclaimed show on television. Last season, we saw a lot of plot twists, and this season gives me even more to talk about.
We saw the most deaths we have seen in any season — and all of this happened in the last episode! Major characters who died included Hodor, King Tommen Baratheon, Balon Greyjoy, Margery Tyrell, Ser Loras Tyrell and many others. Last season ended with the image of Danaerys Tagaryan with Theon and Yara Greyjoy, crossing the narrow sea into Westeros. This is the first time we see them actually committing to their goal of conquering Westeros in all of the seasons. We also see former Queen Regent Cersei Lannister become the actual queen. Another plot twist is that we learn that Jon Snow is not even Eddard Stark’s son at all; he’s actually the son of Lyanna Stark and presumably Rhaegar Targaryan.
In Season 7, I predict that, since we find out that Jon Snow technically isn’t even Jon Snow at all, Dany will come over into Westeros, and she and Jon will combine teams to conquer the land. Since the Targaryans have been marrying brother and sister for generation, I would not be surprised if they end up marrying. However, with Cersei as Queen, we can assume that some treachery and some scheming will be in order.
This season will be the most interesting season in years, and as a “Game of Thrones” fan, I cannot wait.
