Eddie has worked his whole life for this one moment. Through all of the challenges he has faced, it has finally come true for him.

The new movie Eddie the Eagle is a true story of a young British boy who is passionate about becoming an Olympian. After trying many Olympic events, Eddie decides to try skiing, which he has never tried before. Eddie travels to Germany to test his skills as a ski jumper, which is hard at first, but then he finds Bronson Peary, a former ski jumper. After overcoming many obstacles, like the entire nation doubting him, Eddie’s dream finally comes true, as he gets to compete in the 1988 Olympics in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, as a ski jumper.

Overall, the movie was inspiring and is meant for anyone to see if they have a big dream and feel that they are doubted. It shows heart and determination when Eddie is little, because he is never picked for any sports team, and he is bullied because he walks with a limp and is not like the other kids. When Eddie is bullied, his bullies do not realize the harm that they are putting him through, and so, the movie also teaches bullies that what they are doing is wrong.

He fights through tough times, works hard and in the end, ends up succeeding and doing more than he ever thought was possible. This movie shows people how if they are willing to put the time and the effort into what they are doing, they will get rewarded tremendously. Maybe not right away, but in the long run, the person who works the hardest will most often will succeed. This movie is a very good and for sure an inspiring one, so if you have the chance to go see it, you should.
