Rock Creek’s state standards have met the AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress) goal for last year. Math is usually 95 on average and reading 97.

“We did very well,” principal Dennis Post said. “We made it to the upper part in the state of Kansas.”

When comparing both junior high and high school, the junior high students’ scores are higher than the high schools’, but not by much.

Post said, “Study hard in class. What you do in class is what you can do on the test.”
